Port Fairy Campsite / Camping Ground: Anchorage Port Fairy

Anchorage Port Fairy

Address: 115 Princes Highway, Port Fairy, VIC 3284
Ph: 1800 063 346
Offer:
Website: Anchorage Port Fairy

Sit Still and Be Quiet

Hmmm… not quite sure how these guys managed to become Wicked Friends – they don’t exactly come off as a fun or friendly mob. I mean shit, have a read of their terms and conditions…

Terms and Conditions of Providing Accommodation

Don't Have Any FunBig4 Port Fairy regulates a strict “NO PARTY POLICY”.

Management has a zero tolerance approach and immediate eviction for non-compliance will result. Please Note: Guests being accommodated must be registered guests of the park.

To protect the “INTEGRITY OF OUR NON-SMOKING ROOMS”
Big4 Port Fairy will charge $200 to the credit card of the registered guest when smoke odour is detected in a non-smoking room. This charge is to cover the cost of laundering all soft furnishings and carpet.

To ensure the comfort of all guests Big4 Port Fairy has an arbitrary “NO GROUPS POLICY” unless by prior arrangement with management. Similarly our family cabins are designed for families only and non-family groups will only be accommodated by prior arrangement with management.

Good Clean Wholesome Christian Fun for the Whole Family

It’s a pity most of our most customers have travelled halfway around the world to escape their families! I might be overreacting a bit but when a telling off like this is one of the most prominent features of their website it’s pretty hard to avoid the impression that this campsite / camping ground in Port Fairy may very well be run by cranky old gits.

A rethink of the wording in their T&C might help to soften their image. I’m not so sure too many folks would equate terms like “strict“, “no party policy“, “zero-tolerance“, “immediate eviction” and “non-compliance” with the word FUN (except perhaps “non-compliance” in the right context… like non-compliance with overly strict terms and conditions).

Now Try to Say Something Nice

*Ahem*… Then again, perhaps you’re in the frame of mind to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. Perhaps you’d rather take a break from your rowdy revellings and spend a bit of time drying out in lush green surroundings blah blah blah if so then check out the website of Anchorage Port Fairy.
