Hervey Bay, the beautiful aquatic playground on the coast of Queensland, is often touted as the Gateway to Fraser Island. It should be advised that even casual visitation to Hervey Bay may one day lead you to experiment with other illicit forms of adventure travel, such as Fraser Island. Just remember, though, you don’t get to be the world’s largest sand island without some sort of hook!
Be warned - excessive indulgence in the island’s breathtaking sand dunes, rainforest, beaches, freshwater streams and lakes can lead to chronic addiction to travel. This may result in losing contact with family and friends as well as difficulty maintaining employment for extended periods.
Sure, sure. I know what you’re thinking:
“…but I’m a responsible holidaymaker… I would never get addicted to travel… besides, I could give it up anytime I wanted!”
Yeh, right.
Anyway, we’re not here to tell you how to live your life. If you’ve been dabbling with “soft” travel, maybe it is time you moved on to the hard stuff and paid a visit to Fraser Island via Hervey Bay.
All the cool kids are doing it. Heck - even some of your favourite celebrities are doing it.
Sound like peer pressure to you?
Well, that’s what friends are for, right?
