There’s a bloody hell of a lot of things to do in Australia and even if we cover a slice of those tourism activities here it’ll still only make up a fraction of the stuff you can do on your Australian self drive holiday.
Australian Tourism Activities
-
Abseiling in Australia
- Find a cliff, mountain, canyon, gorge or even an indoor rock wall, dangle yourself over the edge with a piece of rope attached and then walk down it with your back to the earth. Forget gravity - you’ve got a piece of rope to save your canyoneering arse!
-
Art Galleries and Museums in Australia
- If art, culture and heritage are your thing then you’ll have plenty to tickle your high brow fancies in Australia.
-
Bars, Pubs & Nightclubs in Australia
- Yeah, there’s plenty to tickle your low brow fancies as well and plenty of places to get on the piss in Australia.
-
Boats & Cruises in Australia
- Water is pretty good. You can drink it, swim in it or even float on top of it and cruise from one place to another in a boat, ferry or rubber dinghy.
-
Canoeing and Kayaking in Australia
- Another way to traverse the aquatic regions of Australia is in a hollowed out log or, more conventionally, in a fibreglass canoe or kayak. Please be advised to bring a paddle if you’re planning a voyage up Shit Creek.
-
Horse Riding in Australia
- Australia has plenty of interesting native animals but screw them - if you wanna straddle a European import and plod around in a smelly back paddock, that’s your perogative!
-
Internet Cafes in Australia
- Check your email, chat with friends and family, maintain your travel blog, look stuff up and print stuff out. Unless you have a fancy Internet enabled mobile phone or laptop and you know where and how to filtch free wireless access you might have to visit an Internet Cafe. You could always make some local friends and bum off them. The Internet is pretty common in Australia.
